z_jay: (That doesn't sound good)

[Bucky's method was one that even managed to bypass Eugene's experienced radar, knowing when one of your fellows was about to have a breakdown of a sort. So instead of presuming something was immediately wrong, Eugene grinned at Bucky before the other man had moved, ready with a chuckle and an it's okay, you klutz. The only thing that made this different was the haste with which Bucky retreated-- and it was more like a retreat than Bucky going to get cleaning materials.

He'd turned his head toward the space where Bucky had been, eyes narrowing minutely before he finished his order and swept the ceramic into the trash. Announcing that he'd be right back would cause attention, so he instead set out a note near the order station he'd be back in 10 minutes.

So he quietly slipped away, stomach churning when he heard the familiar sounds of wreching in the bathroom before entering. It'd be pointless to ask if Bucky was okay when he was expelling his stomach, so he braced himself and knelt next to him, placing a hand in the center of Bucky's back]

Okay, okay, I know you're amazing and all that, but it really was just a coffee mug. I'm sure Tasha will forgive you.

[Even if it was patently obvious this had nothing to do with the coffee, Eugene knew firsthand that tackling illness, or such deep-seated issues, head-on would result in a lot of failure all around. Bucky deserved better than that, so he waited and rubbed a circle into the other man's back. He really was tense, he could feel it in the way the muscles under his hand bunched under the fabric of Bucky's shirt.]
