That was a request that wasn't unheard of. Some occasions, he would like to be reminded as well, instead of being taken for granted. Jack had a tendency to have a more idealistic stake in things, and Eugene hadn't always been the best at communicating verbally to appease those. Plus, being taller made this slightly less bumbly.
