[Audio | July 15th]

Who: Jack Holden, Eugene Woods, and Luceti at large
What: A short radio broadcast
When: July 15th
Where: on air
Summary: Jack and Eugene do what they do best, present themselves derpily over the air
Rating: PG

[With a bit of shuffling, Eugene’s face finally looks satisfied with where the position of the journal is, eyes squinted to check and make certain it was definitely on broadcast. One side of his mouth quirked up in a grin, he sat back and cleared his throat]

Alright, looks like we’re off to a decent start so far as broadcasting-- Jack, how’s it look?

[Turns his attention from the journal to the side Jack’s on off-screen. He’ll be yanked over soon enough to join him, but really, what was most important was just the audio, not necessarily the video]

Sound wards up and running, tracks ready to play- I’d say we’re ready to go, Gene.

[Jack’s still a disembodied voice off-screen to start, but it’s a voice as clear as any expression, cheerful but focused, briskly intent on its goal. He shifts into the focus of the screen a moment later, settling in beside Eugene, face side-lit by the white-blue glow of a computer screen.]

Care to make introductions, my man?

Heh, it’s gonna be as good as it gets... alllright... Hello, everyone. I’m sure you’ve heard of one of us from somewhere or other but if you haven’t, then introductions are the best way to go... My name’s Eugene and this here’s Jack

- Jack Holden, apparently there are a few of us -

- right, Jack freaking Holden, and we are going to be presenting to whoever’s keen on tuning in... a radio broadcast-- why the hell am I so nervous?

I don’t know, Gene! [Jack rests his chin on one palm, as if answering the setup to a joke, grinning broadly.] Why are you so nervous?

Heh, shut up, you big dummy. Okay, back on topic... our line-up today is fairly straightforward. Introductions and some music and maybe a little more if time permits?

Absolutely! And, thanks to the wonders of journal technology, call-ins are simpler than ever. Respond to whichever bits you like if you have comments, or just leave us a message here if you’d like to make a request. We’ll do our best to meet your every musical whim- within the bounds of reason, of course.

Let’s start off with a song request from a good friend of ours, Mr. Sam Yao. This one’s for you, Sam.

[ooc: The long-awaited radio broadcast is here! Feel free to have people interact and submit requests, engage these two in their weird semi-career hobby thing! Simply indicate if you want to respond to Jack, Eugene, or both in the subject header. New and old CR encouraged!!]

If you'd like to come in to the sound-proof booth we've set up for ourselves here in the house, you can play it yourself. Otherwise, I suppose we can figure out how one plays back a crystal.

(By the way, I cannot believe I just wrote that sentence. The things you make me do, Loki.)

I will make a crystal for you.

To have the song play, use the word sorg. It will play only once.

Check your doorstep in five minutes.

[At his house, he finds a suitable crystal and begins to work on it. The spell is simple enough, since it's just a temporary bit of magic. The song he puts into it is the one he played for Jane at the Christmas Ball. Not something anyone but him or her would recognize, and she is now gone.

It is a way for him to say goodbye, for all the world to see and none of them to know.]
