He wasn't camera shy, but there were things out here that he should be anxious about being found by. Clears his throat softly before speaking, glancing off quickly to one side when he heard something move in the distance]

Ah, hello. My name's Eugene and I have a request, for any listeners out there...

[Pauses a second to gather his thoughts, brows knitting together as he gives a thoughtful look to something behind his portable... book thing. Tablet?]

I apologize if I've... wound up with someone's stolen tablet--

[Laughs a little nervously but continues on]

But I could use some help out here. Ah, I'll give it back? I didn't actually steal it, I sort of found it... out here. In the woods.

[And hopefully the owner of said tablet wasn't already dead. Hopefully he wasn't alone. The thought makes him swallow hard]

I'm gonna look for a stick in the meantime. Thanks in advance! Stay safe out there!

[Grins a little but it's obvious he's unsure, waving his fingers next to his face before cutting the signal]

Most of my friends and I went separate ways after the war... and I have no family. So it's not like I have that much waiting for me back home... but I do miss them, yes.

Computer? Nope, never used one. We don't have those where I'm from.

[We're talking major hicksville here, buddy. He's barely got radio.]

Not sure. You'd have to head to the medical centre I guess. Not like anyone here is infected.

[Although the kid sounds pretty desperate about it.]

It'd be perfectly alright if you were. I mean - not that stealing is right! But I'd still be your friend if you were.

[It takes him a moment to figure out how Pepper did it, but he crafts a link like she had once sent him and passes it along.]

Well you can rest assured that you're not alone in how that feels. Heh, I've been separated from my family for a while so it's kind of... easier to not think about.

[Clears his throat and then starts again, new subject this time, like any good radio host would]

What's this place like? I haven't been able to get out of the woods yet, so I'm pretty clueless.

[Oh. His silence even sounds like it's confused but well, computers were a luxury these days, too]

[since there were a lot of interesting people around and he did have a genuine curiosity!]

I'm from Vancouver, if that... if you know where that is, I mean.

Not a thief, but I am a radio host. And a journalist, but that one's a bit less interesting these days.

Ah, so still your friend? I'm honored to be considered a friend so quickly.

[If he's here alone he could completely sympathize with the missing of one's most cherished.]

...I'll do whatever it takes, to get found, to get the cure. Whatever.

[Probably not the smartest thing to say to someone he doesn't know but... a cure for the grey plague-- it was more valuable than all the diamonds in Africa or something. Priceless]

Heh, can't get lost if you're already lost. Not to mention I can't exactly... walk... so I'm a little stuck.

[He spoke with a smile, even if it was a little forlorn. Thanks to the link sent he did have plenty to read, however, so not all was lost! The information provided was at least going to pass some time. Hopefully this journal's battery wouldn't wear down before he was found...]

Very... random. Some days it is just a quiet village in the woods, other days it seems like an absolute bundle of chaos. The scientists who seem to run this place, seem to find it amusing to turn reality upside down. I've heard tales of some of the oddities that occur, but I have yet to see much of it first hand.

[Deep breath, lets it out slowly]

Yeah, the Malnosso obviously forgot how I was supposed to get to civilization from here. Though they were at least kind enough to leave me a journal? They definitely lacked foresight on the rest of the details.

Well, for the moment it seems alright. But I know from experience that what seems far away and crazy can quickly come and ruin your day... life. You know, those sort of things.

You're... not alone, are you? Here, I mean. I know some people are fine with being on their own but just know if you need someone to listen, I most definitely will. Was part of my job description back home.

[Loki is obviously not quite getting this. This is not a situation common in Asgard.]

What manner of conveyance do you require? A... Horse?

[The effort is what counts! Trying to understand what's not usual is a sign of being more than the average!]

Crutches would help. Maybe a... well I haven't actually tried to ride a horse since... then. I'm not opposed to trying.

[Chuckles softly and rubs the back of his neck]

I also can understand that... believe me I can. In my world, nearly every person turned to stone when the goddess passed her judgement, and I fought with a band of heroes to restore the world to balance.

That's... very kind of you, thank you. I did manage to make a pretty close friend recently, but I do appreciate your offer. Perhaps you'd like to get something to eat with me sometime.

[If you don't mind her stealing your food, which she might totally do.]

[Oh, food! he lights up a little and grins]

I'll make you some food, so don't worry about that. Definitely would like to hang out at least. It-- wow, uh, goddesses... passing judgment. It sounds very different from where I come from. There's all sorts of religions.

Though none of them have successfully turned populations into stones-- maybe zombies, but that was entirely manmade, or so the rumor goes...

That's very different I agree. There aren't really any other religions where I am from, thanks to the presence of the goddess being so undeniable... what other kinds of religions are there in your world?

[She officially has no idea what a radio is, but! She does know journalist - that just must be someone who writes in a journal, right? So everyone in Luceti is a journalist! So neat.]

Well, why not? You seem like a perfectly wonderful person to have as a friend, Eugene. Oh, right! Um - you're new, right? Do you need any help?

I'll come out looking for you and let some people know to look too. Can you see mountains, and if you can, which direction are they in?

[Loki considers this carefully. He really doesn't care if this human sits out in the woods until someone finds him. But this is an excuse to take Vakri out for a second time this day. And it will function as a way to make him looks good, thus confusing his enemies further and potentially annoying Steve and Tony. ]

All right. I shall be there in a bit.

[He closes the journal and goes off to ready his horse. A reasonable amount of time later, there is the sound of a horse approaching, and there he is. As horses go, it should be noted, Vakri is exceptionally pretty. He's a horse from Asgard, after all.]

Man if it's a tablet it's a tablet. I don't got get games or the internet or mails or nothing on this.

Must be nice having one proven-to-exist deity. For mine, there's hundreds of religions, I'm sure. Most of them prefer a god over a goddess. But not all of them. Some folks don't believe in a god at all.

It's a little hard to believe one existing in the world I'm from. The grey plague is...
