[Begins transmission with a smile, him flying solo in his own journal for the day. And here, being committed to your entertainment. Or at least, it's in the works, but today he has a few things in mind he'd like to accomplish to get that started.]
Hello, Luceti, it's a chilly morning out there, so make sure you're nice and bundled up for any sort of travel you expect to be doing today.
Jack and I are still compiling some requests and compositions from you lovely lot, and if you'd like to put in some last minute offers or requests, feel free to let me or Jack know.
[Switches gears a little, looking just a little nervous]
I also come to you today for a request.
[Takes a deep breath and averts his eyes just a moment, licking his lips before glancing back to the screen]
I've heard of some doctors being located at the Battle Dome and I had questions about... things... regarding mobility, mostly. Ah, if anyone could get me in contact with a doctor there, I would really... really appreciate it. As some of you know I have some mobility issues and improving that would be...
[Smiles a little, wistful and hopeful but trying to keep it under wraps]
...It would be my top priority.
[Scratches the side of his nose with one finger and sits back]
Alright, thanks again, listeners-- and stay safe out there.

Cliff Fittir. I'm uh...[A former space captain, member of an anti-government support organization, someone that wasn't from Earth...] Let's just say that I'm a guy who likes a good time and doesn't mind a fight or two.
[See? He can observe the UP3 too. It was just too complicated to spill everything like this.]
I also don't like all this cold, but who does?
What about you? Didn't catch a name earlier.
voice
Oh, tell me about it. It's flipping freezing.
Name's Eugene Woods. And... I'm just a guy who likes to cook and play music. Not too much interesting about me, just about what I've seen.
voice
[Cliff suspected that there was more, but he didn't pry. The details were always a possibility for the future...]
voice
Yeah it's funny how that works out-- in the sort of funny that doesn't have you laughing but cringing?
Though I'm going to ask because I honestly don't know-- Earth? Another universe? Starship Enterprise? What's home for you?
voice
Suffice to say, I'm not from Earth. Been there a few times...but the politics? Not a fan.
I wouldn't call it a 'starship', but I do have one. Or did. [A small part of him still cringed at the sight of her battered remains in the snowy, almost medieval city.] She's called the Eagle. While she ain't the toughest ship in the galaxy, she's one of the fastest.
There's another ship, called the Diplo. Ya could say that she's a 'starship', but that's too formal. We're a pretty rowdy crew, but our Captain doesn't really mind.
voice
[Kind of likes that, anyway. But back to their discussion]
Starships... closest thing we had in mine is a space shuttle... and a trip to the moon, though some would disagree it actually happened. But seriously, the best kind of crew is the kind that knows how to party and when to get serious, right?
voice
But a space shuttle...[He though about it for a sec.] Aah. I see. You're still working with fossil fuels then, amirite? People sure knew how to party then, even if they were skeptics.
And you're right. A chill crew that knows when to buckle down and man the guns really is the best.
voice
Heh, fossil fuels or bust. But global warming turns out is the least of our problems.
voice
What kinda problems are we talking here? Sun going nova? World War III? Nuclear overload?
voice
Ah-- no. Just problems, like any other world, really. Nothing that complicated, though. Or at least, not that we know of. Sun's got a ways to go, I think and nuclear overload-- well, maybe in some places...
voice
Aah. And you mean problems like war, pollution, overpopulation...and little things like who the next governor's gonna be, right?
voice
Well, the problem is a bit more global than that. As far as we know. But Luceti is pretty pleasant by comparison. We had plenty of electricity before, just not now. I suppose it's a step back from where we started.
[Grins and chuckles a little in his chest, looking thoughtful but mischievous as well.]
Well, if it's any consolation, this'll be a secret between us. Sometimes rules are meant to be broken for the greater good, anyway. The trick is keeping it contained....
[Ah, but quarantine had been difficult even in his world, once things caught on, it spread like a flash fire]
voice
Not too bad then. You get to avoid...does 'culture shock' make sense here?
[He laughed as well.]
Ain't that always the trick? It's why you need good people around, because they might be the only ones you can trust.
voice
It's harder than you'd think. Though, you're coming from the other end of that problem, aren't you?
[Ah, trust. Trust was definitely more important to him now than it had been before, but Cliff seemed like a straight-up kind of guy. He'd share a beer with him without concern]
Good people who will watch your back and look after you? Same as you'd do for them? Yeah... hah, kind of makes me miss my friends back home. They are good people...
voice
Nah. We've still got the same problem. It's probably a little different, but it's the same.
[There were certain parts of his world that man wasn't supposed to know...and Cliff, unfortunately, learned that the hard way.]
Guess I got lucky then, since a couple of mine dropped in with me. Even if they didn't...the people here don't seem too bad. Maybe something could work if you give it enough time.
voice
[Stops short, wanting to save some stories for the air, however. No good to give them all here for free]
Heh, but I am getting ahead of myself here.
voice
[He had a hunch that there would be plenty more stories int he future.]
Word is that we'll forget everything once we get home, so I guess we're lucky on that...
voice
Forget everything? How do we know that happens?
[It's one thing to be sent back home, but he was making friends here and... well, some he didn't want to forget, even if he'd miss them. Felt like he was getting robbed out of something that no one should have access to.]
voice
voice
The information contained in the journals, you mean?
voice
It looks like we'll be returned to the same moment we left in, so nothing changes one way or another.
...It sucks, though. Some people here prob'ly need a good vacation.]
voice
[He tried to keep the disappointment out of his voice and was marginally successful.]
Well, better make the best of the time we have here, then, hm?
[Now there was an injection of radio personality pleasantness, back to business and not worrying about what might happen]
Though I had better head off so I can get more of the radio program prepped and ready to go for our debut. Thanks for your input and the info, Cliff. It's been a pleasure! Stay safe out there.
