Jack and I are still compiling some requests and compositions from you lovely lot, and if you'd like to put in some last minute offers or requests, feel free to let me or Jack know.

[Switches gears a little, looking just a little nervous]

I also come to you today for a request.

[Takes a deep breath and averts his eyes just a moment, licking his lips before glancing back to the screen]

I've heard of some doctors being located at the Battle Dome and I had questions about... things... regarding mobility, mostly. Ah, if anyone could get me in contact with a doctor there, I would really... really appreciate it. As some of you know I have some mobility issues and improving that would be...

[Smiles a little, wistful and hopeful but trying to keep it under wraps]

...It would be my top priority.

[Scratches the side of his nose with one finger and sits back]

[Vastra raises where an eyebrow might be if she had hair. This mammal was very odd, very odd indeed. But odd in the direction Vastra typically didn't encounter. He only seemed to want to be helpful and friendly (which was a different direction for a mammal to take in Vastra's experience, honestly).]

Why would you presume that I cannot consume dairy? [The part about her not being 'from around here' wasn't anything to be curious about. The dairy issue seems a little random.]

Some folks I know can't have dairy. Lactose-intolerance. It's a thing-- and as someone who takes cooking very seriously, I tend to want to know those sort of things before I make something I hope you'll eat.

[Even if he was seen as a little eccentric, these were things he would need to consider. With a somewhat shy grin he shrugged]

Maybe it's more efficient to ask... what you don't like instead of specific things.

[Vastra taps her cheek with a finger idly and smiles to herself before starting the video. Yes, this man did take his cooking very seriously.]

Nothing too sweet. I enjoy fruit more than sugar.

[Now they were on the same page-- leave it to food to bring aliens and humans together! He was doing what captains of starships had difficulty doing and here he was, an ex-journalist zombie-apocalypse survivor, making headway for all of mankind.

No artificial sweetners, then. But this doctor you were thinking of... I suppose I could let you know if I see them. What do they look like?

[Well... moderate headway for all mankind. But Vastra is kind enough not to burst his bubble.]

Well.. [Vastra looks troubled, puzzled, maybe at a loss.] He could look so different from what I remember, theoretically. But one thing is certain: he will refuse to give his name, and ask you to call him 'the Doctor'.

[Moderate was better than below average, every point counted!]

Well, a guy who refuses to give his name and calls himself the Doctor. I suspect a guy like that wouldn't be too hard to spot if he's here.

[Something-- not entirely pity, but something soft and understanding crossed his features as he nodded. Losing friends to this place-- or being brought here, more likely, was always tough. If he'd been separated from Jack, he wouldn't be nearly as pleasant to be around. In a very poignant way, he respected her strength.]
