[Begins transmission with a smile, him flying solo in his own journal for the day. And here, being committed to your entertainment. Or at least, it's in the works, but today he has a few things in mind he'd like to accomplish to get that started.]

Hello, Luceti, it's a chilly morning out there, so make sure you're nice and bundled up for any sort of travel you expect to be doing today.

Jack and I are still compiling some requests and compositions from you lovely lot, and if you'd like to put in some last minute offers or requests, feel free to let me or Jack know.

[Switches gears a little, looking just a little nervous]

I also come to you today for a request.

[Takes a deep breath and averts his eyes just a moment, licking his lips before glancing back to the screen]

I've heard of some doctors being located at the Battle Dome and I had questions about... things... regarding mobility, mostly. Ah, if anyone could get me in contact with a doctor there, I would really... really appreciate it. As some of you know I have some mobility issues and improving that would be...

[Smiles a little, wistful and hopeful but trying to keep it under wraps]

...It would be my top priority.

[Scratches the side of his nose with one finger and sits back]

Ah, yeah, having met Tony, he's a real trip. But Americans, so charming despite being jerks, you can't help but love them and hate them. Or at least him. Kind of wish he hadn't set Jack off, though...

I haven't met Stark, but his reputation precedes him. I know Pepper.

He didn't do anything to Jack, expect for have a tact disaster, but it is water well under the bridge now.

He's not easy to deal with always but he's a good guy. Just don't tell him that. He's honour bound to be contrary.

Pepper is a good woman. A good friend.

Honor bound to be contrary? I think I need to meet this guy, we might just get along. And Pepper really is, I can't say I've anything bad to say about her.

We're fine. Don't let the nice-guy facade fool you. Me and Jack can handle our own against more than you might expect.

[Really, he didn't need another grey plague, it wouldn't be pretty]

Cruel and unrepentant. It's a wonder I'm so popular 'round here. Though I suspect people like bossy, cruel guys more than they like to admit.

Maybe you will. But like I said, he's a good guy, just doesn't want you to know it.

I'm sure you can. But I've been a soldier too long to not worry about civilians. Well, ones I consider friends anyway.

[He laughs softly, grinning at that.]

Jack certainly does.

[Grins a little wider, just a little devious]

And you want me to play a nice little song for your lady love. What's this say about us, Agent Barton?

[Although he is pretty certain that it means they're friends, which he is way okay with. With him and Jack being training buddies, the arrangment wasn't unwanted.]

Well, it possibly says that I am a complete masochist, although I did already know that one.

[Makes a little hand gesture with both hands to stop and move back just a bit]

How many girls do you know?

[He looks a little confused by at the mention of Natasha his expression softens.]

Natasha is my partner, my best friend.

...she's my home.

How many girls? A bunch I guess. I get on well with them.

[Well, that was curious, but instead of confused, Eugene's intrigued. Back home, he had become considerably good friends with the ladies of Abel, maybe on account of his being relatively harmless. But the familiarity of home in a person... he could relate.]

Heh, I see. That's nice. So, she's like a sister, then?

[That makes him frown a little and after a moment, he shakes his head. His relationship with his real sibling had gone so sour. It leaves a bad taste in his mouth.]

No. Not like that. She's just... she's Natasha. She has my back. I have hers. Always will.

[Nods and shrugs, but smiles softly]

Well.... glad you've got her! Seems like it's good for you.

Everyone should have a home to go back to. I didn't. Not for a long time. She's good for me.

Generally going home is to a place, not a person-- but I can understand the sentiment. For a while, yeah, I suppose me and Jack were the same-- are the same. Uh, anyway.....

[He didn't want to start sounding sappy, this was just Agent Barton's trap laid out so he could use it against him later if he needed ammunition against Eugene, right?]

[Clint laughed softly at that.]

Difficult to have a place when you move around so often. I've lived on more bases than I can count. Not much time to get homely.

Yeah, I know that feeling. Switching to new safe places every day, checking the water supply... making sure that the reinforcements on the doors and windows were secure...

Though some places I'd felt like I was trespassing into.

But-- wait, okay, we're not talking about the same thing anymore, are we?

Making sure you've not been followed, checking defences and weapons...

I know the feeling.

Trespassing is probably the least bad thing I've done to survive.

Zoms might not be the brightest, but they follow instinct. Trespassing in the house of former people... it... well, it's just not the same kind of deviant as otherwise. It's hard to think about all those family pictures and...

[Stops himself and sighs with a soft smile, though it's not happy at all]

I suppose we all have regrets, right? I'm glad you've got this Natasha, if she's here you should bring her round some time and we can swap music ideas.

Instinct... going back to places they knew, following routine, right? Like muscle memory.

[He thinks he remembers that movie, in the shopping mall. A thousand zombies all doing what they'd been doing while alive.]

I'll be sure to send her your way. And I'm glad I have her too. Wouldn't know what to do without her.

...Kind of keeps them hauntingly human.

[Sometimes reality was stranger than fiction, but dwelling on fighting your way through an actual mall and securing a safe haven in one of the security offices... wasn't. Though he and Jack did find a fairly nice set of clothes there for protection and style]

Send her my way? I'm so boring, why would you want to inflict anything like that on someone you care about?

[Yes, it's callous perhaps, but for a man who's made a career of killing living, breathing people, that kind of pragmatism seems normal.]

You're hardly boring, Eugene. I'm sure she'd be charmed.

[That response will take him a few moments to stomach. Practical as it was, he hadn't formed a career out of... doing that. Glancing off to one side he couldn't exactly bring himself to laugh that off]

You know me, charmer of the ladies-- only I'm really not.

...sorry. That was... blunt of me.

[You learnt to be ruthlessly pragmatic and sometimes that might seem like the same thing as callous.]

You aren't meant to be asking her out, just talk to her. Like you would anyone else. She doesn't bite.

[Okay, that is a complete lie because anything is fair game, but she doesn't bite without reason.]

[Shakes his head, having been around types who were just pragmatic and jaded-- desensitized... he envied them.]

Hey-- hey, I'm happily involved right now. I'm not left for wanting of a proper bite every now and then.

[Well, not everyone knew about him and Jack, however so he toned that down a bit, by potentially getting himself in trouble]
