This post is intended for anything that one could want to RP with Eugene.  Nothing fancy here, just a date, type, and place where you'd like to meet up with him and we'll go from there.  The only limit here is the imagination.

Oh-- 3-D pictures, yeah. I'm good at those. I tend to get a little bit like that looking at particular textures and the ceili-- ah. That is to say, yes.

[Babbling, while cute in some interactions, might make him look dumb here and he didn't want that.]

So I unfocus my eyes?

Should have no problem then. You do that, let your mind follow it. Kind of detached. They don't have much interest in the physical body so...

[Briefly he gave Max a dubious look before settling back and trying to relax his focus, which was harder than it was normally, given how Jack wasn't here and he was... prone to think about him in his absence.

But after a minute or so he settled into something nearing a doze-- broken the moment that he opened an eye to peek at Max]

Am I doing it right?

[abjurer]

[Max watched him carefully but it was difficult to tell from the outside. He laughed softly when Eugene asked him that though.]

Looked like it to me. Now you have to keep doing that and just... listen.

Alright, alright.

[Chuckles gently and closes his eyes with a soft sigh, settling back against the sofa and letting himself relax. It was... only after he'd stopped keeping a mental track on time that he thought he heard something-- though the realization did snap him out of it. Brows coming together, but not opening his eyes he tried again, this time letting his head rest back against the sofa.]

[abjurer]

Don't shoot me. I'm just the messenger.

[Max grins and goes back to watching, sipping at his tea as Eugene slips into that semi-trance.]

Good. You're doing well. When you hear her, just let her come to you. Don't startle her.

A lady, huh?

[That got one of his eyes slitting open to grin at Max, but at least the other man seemed genuine and wasn't doing all this in an effort to prank him. But he slipped back into that state of relaxed, feeling another presence that wasn't Max's lingering just outside the periphery of his subconsciousness.

The presence was... comforting, but wary at once, though he made no move to push forward, just had a look back out of curiosity]

Nala is. As much as an incorporeal spirit can be anyway.

[He grins back at Eugene for that, a little amused by his reaction.]

So, introduce yourself.

[Not entirely sure about the protocol for this, he just followed instinct instead of speaking out loud, still distantly aware of Mex being around to prompt him. The sensation of being noticed was new, nearly knocked him out of the trance, but he preferred to approach things amicably, without much fanfare and managed to maintain the calm.

A warmth descended on him and he couldn't help but have a soft intake of breath, unexpected, but welcome at once.]

...Well, she must be hot, then. Not the other hot.

[abjurer]

[He laughed softly at that comment, shaking his head in amusement.]

Mmmhmm, I guess she must be. You have to talk to her, ask her to help you.

You guess? Don't you make it a habit to speak with them often?

[But right, focus, and he centered himself right back on that warmth, asked for... healing of some sort-- was surprised when some of the phantom pain in his leg diminished-- a persistent ache that he'd forced himself to ignore. Though it was startling enough to snap him out of the reverie with his eyes flashing open and an audible sucking in of breath.

And then glancing over at Max-- a little sheepish]

... I think she misunderstood.

[abjurer]

Not usually when I'm asking for help. And haven't tried it here yet.

[Maybe he should, but the idea of relying on something else for power is still an uncomfortable one for him.

He hears the startled breath, and smiles at him.]

I think she knows exactly what she's doing.

[With a soft huff-laugh he rolled his eyes, reaching down for and rubbing the stump of his leg through his jeans. It was strange to lack discomfort there, to feel a subtle but persistent warmth linger and tingle on the edges of his nerves]

Yeah well it's one thing to heal yourself and another to heal someone else. Do I need to phrase it properly?

[abjurer]

[He notices the movement, and he's kind of glad that Eugene decided to try. Easing that kind of pain must be tricky.]

Maybe. Maybe it's proximity. You need to be closer to another person who's injured.

And your head isn't damaged?

[He did ask amicably-- more of a joke than anything he could approximate with seriousness. That and he didn't know Max well enough to make any claims of that nature with any validity.

At least he had company while Jack was away and that was good enough for him]

So it's the same for the others, then?

[abjurer]

Oh well, that's always open for debate. What do you think?

[He grins at that over the rim of his teacup.]

Other spirits? No idea. Haven't tried.

Just as useless as Jack. And you're supposed to be the magician type here? Or is there a difference between that and summoner?

[his cheeks still felt oddly flushed, like his whole body had a burst of rejuvenation all at once and it wasn't expected-- so his body was obvercompensating for that extra. Which felt surprisingly nice]
