He wasn't camera shy, but there were things out here that he should be anxious about being found by. Clears his throat softly before speaking, glancing off quickly to one side when he heard something move in the distance]

Ah, hello. My name's Eugene and I have a request, for any listeners out there...

[Pauses a second to gather his thoughts, brows knitting together as he gives a thoughtful look to something behind his portable... book thing. Tablet?]

I apologize if I've... wound up with someone's stolen tablet--

[Laughs a little nervously but continues on]

But I could use some help out here. Ah, I'll give it back? I didn't actually steal it, I sort of found it... out here. In the woods.

[And hopefully the owner of said tablet wasn't already dead. Hopefully he wasn't alone. The thought makes him swallow hard]

[By no means was he dismissing the extended explanation. In fact, he was intrigued and... impressed by it. He'd never heard of Tellius, however. he ignored the small pang of regret that she hadn't seen or heard of Jack.]

Seems like the story of everyone's lives, here. I'm sorry that this has happened to you, miss. I'm sure you miss your friends and family?

Most of my friends and I went separate ways after the war... and I have no family. So it's not like I have that much waiting for me back home... but I do miss them, yes.

Well you can rest assured that you're not alone in how that feels. Heh, I've been separated from my family for a while so it's kind of... easier to not think about.

[Clears his throat and then starts again, new subject this time, like any good radio host would]

What's this place like? I haven't been able to get out of the woods yet, so I'm pretty clueless.

Very... random. Some days it is just a quiet village in the woods, other days it seems like an absolute bundle of chaos. The scientists who seem to run this place, seem to find it amusing to turn reality upside down. I've heard tales of some of the oddities that occur, but I have yet to see much of it first hand.

Well, for the moment it seems alright. But I know from experience that what seems far away and crazy can quickly come and ruin your day... life. You know, those sort of things.

You're... not alone, are you? Here, I mean. I know some people are fine with being on their own but just know if you need someone to listen, I most definitely will. Was part of my job description back home.

I also can understand that... believe me I can. In my world, nearly every person turned to stone when the goddess passed her judgement, and I fought with a band of heroes to restore the world to balance.

That's... very kind of you, thank you. I did manage to make a pretty close friend recently, but I do appreciate your offer. Perhaps you'd like to get something to eat with me sometime.

[If you don't mind her stealing your food, which she might totally do.]

I'll make you some food, so don't worry about that. Definitely would like to hang out at least. It-- wow, uh, goddesses... passing judgment. It sounds very different from where I come from. There's all sorts of religions.

Though none of them have successfully turned populations into stones-- maybe zombies, but that was entirely manmade, or so the rumor goes...

That's very different I agree. There aren't really any other religions where I am from, thanks to the presence of the goddess being so undeniable... what other kinds of religions are there in your world?

Must be nice having one proven-to-exist deity. For mine, there's hundreds of religions, I'm sure. Most of them prefer a god over a goddess. But not all of them. Some folks don't believe in a god at all.

It's a little hard to believe one existing in the world I'm from. The grey plague is...

Definitely unpleasant.

Not everyone believes in the goddess... but that is only because they have not seen the things I have. One tends to become a believer, when one comes face to face with said goddess, in a battle to decide the fate of the world.

... What is the grey plague exactly?

[Speaks the last bit quickly, under his breath and mainly just to himself. He wasn't unfamiliar with them, but Sam and Maxine had made Jack fairly excited over them, so how could he miss the themes?]

The...grey plague is a... it's an epidemic where I'm from. Anyone who gets bitten by a person infected becomes a zombie. Doesn't matter who. It's changed the world. I really hope you never experience it.

It does sort of sound like it doesn't it? ... But it was all too real for me.

Oh... Actually... there was something similar to that going around this Halloween from what I've heard from a few others here...

[Gets an odd sort of look and glances around briefly. Fear? Definitely. Swallows hard and smiles again, pleasant but with an edge. The resigned sort of edge]

So there are zoms here?

Not within the barrier no... I think... it was when some of the residents were drafted into a war the Malnosso had.

I sincerely hope they've gone. If they're still around it's better to be safe than sorry, though. I need to get myself to a secure location, so I will talk you later, miss!
