He wasn't camera shy, but there were things out here that he should be anxious about being found by. Clears his throat softly before speaking, glancing off quickly to one side when he heard something move in the distance]

Ah, hello. My name's Eugene and I have a request, for any listeners out there...

[Pauses a second to gather his thoughts, brows knitting together as he gives a thoughtful look to something behind his portable... book thing. Tablet?]

I apologize if I've... wound up with someone's stolen tablet--

[Laughs a little nervously but continues on]

But I could use some help out here. Ah, I'll give it back? I didn't actually steal it, I sort of found it... out here. In the woods.

[And hopefully the owner of said tablet wasn't already dead. Hopefully he wasn't alone. The thought makes him swallow hard]

[Blinks and then the journal gets turned over, a shot of the ground and a leg visible for a moment before a soft ah hah followed and it came right back up]

The Malnosso are a mysterious organization of scientists who gave you the wings, journal, and kidnap people to this world away from their own times or dimensions. And then run experiments known as "shifts." And sometimes draft people to fight cultists.

[Listens dutifully but that is a lot to take in at face value. Though, he had seen the grey outbreak occur.]

....Well, it's a good thing I was already sitting down.

[Suddenly it strikes him that he might be here alone and that didn't... sit well with him.]

Malnosso. Normally I'd be more skeptical but the wings are kind of hard to ignore. Do you have a pair, too, miss?

[Turns her back to show off a small pair of black ones with lipstick red at the roots.]

Mm-hm! Everyone does. It's what connects you to the world but... it's your life-force, so be careful with them.

[Watches quietly, brows raising as he spotted how very... attached... they were. It made his own ache a little, but at least he had practice with dealing with that. Still, life-force? Sounded serious.]

I, uh. Well, alright. Thanks for the mini-lesson, miss Fujiko. And uh, before you go, one last question?

[takes a deep breath, lets it out on a soft laugh] You probably can't help and that's ok but if you know of or see a Jack Holden, let him know I'm okay and to hurry up and find me. Stay safe out there!

Jack Holden. I'm not usually in the habit of keeping tabs on people, but I heard that name recently on the journal? Just flip through it and you might be able to find it too, or he should find you. If it's the same guy you know at least.
